The Coinbase Scam That Nearly Got Me

As you all know, I’ve talked a lot about scams and the many kinds of phishing scams that into my email’s inbox. I’ve talked about what to look for, what not to do in these scams, and how to not let your emotions get the best of you. Even when going through all of these things, there are still some scams that I come across that still can cause me to panic and in this case, it is a Coinbase scam. I will go over why this particular scam caused me to panic and how I eventually calmed myself down and allowed me to look over everything very thoroughly and realize that it was ultimately a scam. I understand that there are things that should be common sense, but let’s just say that I’ve had a security issue with my account with the real Coinbase company last year and receiving an email like this just adds to the difficulties that still continue to this day, hence why this scam nearly got me. I’ll also talk about the one red flag that ALWAYS lets me know that an email is a scam.

Apple And PayPal Phishing Scams

The phishing email scam flow just doesn’t stop and in some cases seems to be increasing. I’ve received Apple and PayPal phishing scams recently and I want to share those with you today. It’s extremely important to share these scams with you so that you’re aware of what’s going around through email and other methods.

In one of my most recent articles, I talked about a phishing scam that appeared to be a PayPal email. I was able to show what happens when I clicked on the link inside the fraudulent email and it took me to a site designed to look like PayPal’s actual log in page. It’s scary how nearly identical it looked to PayPal’s actual page. You can read more about it by clicking here.

My Apple ID Is Locked!

Well folks, it appears My Apple ID is locked! I received an email from Apple that says they will lock my account if I don’t respond in 24 hours because of suspicious activity from Nigeria. The thing is, I received this email back on September 1st and so my account is definitely locked!

Wait a minute! If it’s locked, how come I was able to download Apple’s latest version of IOS on to my iPhone? Also, why was I able to purchase and download a song yesterday? It looks like this is a case of yet another Phishing Scam! Did I fall for it and click the link on the inside of the email? Are there red flags that give this email away as to being a phishing scam? Dangerous Apple ID Phishing Scams

I’m back with some more phishing email scams. Recently, I talked about some of the latest PayPal Phishing email scams going around out there and gave a couple of examples as well which you can read about here. I mentioned what to look for in those emails that give it away as being scams.

I’ve recently received more phishing email scams, but I haven’t received ones quite like these before and so I want to talk to you about a couple of dangerous Apple ID phishing scams that I received. These are a little difficult to determine if they are legitimate emails from Apple, but I will certainly go over what to look for and what will almost always give away an email being a phishing scam.

Apple ID Email Scam and How to Avoid Becoming A Victim

Welcome back folks and today I’m going to be talking about another type of email phishing scam. If you remember not too long ago, I talked about a Netflix phishing email scam that I received. Phishing emails are always dangerous as they can lead to malware and viruses being installed on your computer as well as the potential of having your identity stolen or even your bank account being accessed and funds being taken out of it.
