Can You Make Money With Free Online Classified Ads?

There are many ways to make money online such as networking marketing, MLM (Multi-Level-Marketing), Affiliate Marketing, Drop Shipping, eBooks, surveys, etc. Nearly all of them are going to require to do some kind of online advertising or ways to drive traffic to whatever business opportunity you decide to do online.

What I want to take a look at is a specific kind of way to promote what I have to offer to earn some money and I am going to be guided by a video (which I will share a link to here in a bit) that shows you how to use that specific method that can generate a good amount of income. This will be my first time trying this and I’m considering this as a case study. Will it work, who knows, but it is free to try so I’m not losing any money by doing this.

What is this method I’m talking about? It’s utilizing free online classified ads. Can you really make money with free online classified ads? That’s what we’re going to find out today and in the days and months ahead so join me as I try out this method and see if it’s a good way to generate some income online.

Free Classified Ads

There are lots of places you can online to post free classified ads online and probably the most well-known one out there is craigslist. I’ve used craigslist in the past to try to sell things, mainly things I don’t need anymore as well as look for some jobs such as part-time or full time in the past.

I’ve had some success selling items on craigslist as I’ve sold older tablets, phones, and Televisions that I’ve no longer needed. I also responded to an ad of making some extra money delivering a city newspaper (which I promptly ended after 2 days of trying it. I DO NOT like the idea of getting up at 2 in the morning 7 days a week to drive around my town for nearly 4 hours and have the potential to have my pay docked if the customers either didn’t receive the paper or unhappy with how it was delivered.)

Craigslist doesn’t really allow you to post work at home opportunities online, which is fine and I get why as there are a lot of scams going on out there and they want to make sure that people don’t fall victim to them even though there are legitimate work at home opportunities out there.

In this experiment that I’m trying, I’m going to try a few other classified ad sites online that are free and one of them is called articledude.com. This particular one is used in the video of where I learned their method of promoting your business online. What’s nice about Article Dude is that there is no limit to how many ads you can post and there are multiple states and cities you can post to.

The next question is, what exactly do you promote so that you can potentially earn money to these free online classified ads. That’s what I’m going to take a look at next though I’m going to recommend something that goes a little contrary to what the video teaches that I learned this to.

ClickBank

If you’re not familiar with ClickBank, it is a large Affiliate Marketing vendor online where you can create your own products as well as promote other products through their marketplace and earn money. ClickBank has been around for awhile and they have a large assortment of affiliate products you can promote in a wide range of niches.

I’ve signed up for ClickBank before, but I haven’t used it extensively. For the purpose of earning money through online classifieds, I’m going to use it here, but I’m also going to use what I have a lot of experience with and know truly works. This is where I start to differ to what is being taught in that particular video.

There are a lot of products you can promote to ClickBank, but what concerns me though is, if you don’t have any experience with what you’re promoting, how do you know it truly works. There are certain stats you want to look at to the product you choose to promote through ClickBank and I take a little closer look at those.

For the purpose of my classifieds, I’m going to promote one product to ClickBank’s Marketplace and then my own work at home opportunity which is Wealthy Affiliate, because I have actually used the product, gone through it’s training, put into practice what is taught and I know it works.

How To Post Classified Ads.

The main classified ad site I’m going to use here is articledude.com which is what I mentioned above and create a free account there. I’ll create my own video showing exactly how I do this. It’s really pretty simple and you’ll be doing a lot of copying and pasting and I’ve learned all this to the other video that I’ve mentioned earlier.

When you go to Article Dude, the first thing you’re going to want to do is create an account. It’s easy to do and it is completely free. They will try to get you to upgrade for a longer ad run that costs $5 dollars and lasts 90 days, but it really isn’t necessary.

After your account is created and then verified to your email address, you are good to go and ready to start posting ads. Once you login to your account, you’ll want to click the button in the upper right portion of the website that’s titled “Publish your ad for free”.

It will bring you to a new screen once it’s clicked where you will create your ad and then fully publish it. The first part is selecting a category. In this case, I’ll go ahead and select Work From Home as the category since I’m promoting a product that will let you do exactly that.

The next thing you’ll want to do is choose a title for your ad. Now I was able to get a large list of titles for these type of ads so all I’ll have to do is copy one of them and paste it into the title box. A link to the video where I got that list as well as a list of ad bodies for an ad will be coming shortly. Next, you’ll want to put the main part of your ad in the description box. Don’t forget to post the link to the product you’re promoting after the main part of the body of your ad and make sure you shorten it with any url shortner that’s out there.

Moving on to the next part, you’ll need to select a region which is a state in the US and then a city in that state. You can skill all the stuff that came before that section such as setting a price. You’ll want to choose a large populated area so if you choose a state like Texas, you’ll want to choose a city such as Dallas or Houston. You don’t need to worry about city area or address. Once you’re done with that, you can click publish and you’re finished!

Don’t stop with just one

Now you’ll probably be thrilled that you got an ad published, but you don’t want to stop with just one. You’ll want to post as many ads as you can and you’re allowed to create multiple ones at Article Dude. What’s nice about that is you can select many different regions and cities and you can certainly promote more than one product.

You’ll also want to find multiple free online classified ad sites and pretty much do the same thing that I talked about above. The more classified ad sites you post at, the greater the chance you’ll be able to make some money to whatever it is your’re promoting.

This is the first time I’m doing something like this so I will be updating this particular post fairly regularly with updates to see if my ads have yielded any results. With the copy and paste method that I learned about to the video I’ve mentioned, it’ll make it a bit easier to post multiple online ads.

Tyler Pratt is his name as well as the name of his YouTube Channel and he makes a lot of good videos of different ways to make money online. Now I haven’t tried all of them, but I have watched a few of his videos and they do show a lot of promise as long as you’re willing to take action. Most of the methods to earn money online that he talks about in his videos are free.

My Recommendation When Posting Online Ads

It’s very easy to get excited and start promoting different ads of multiple products to ClickBank in their Marketplace, especially since Tyler Pratt’s video explains how to do just that. Here’s my thing though. You want to gain the trust of people you’re promoting products too especially if you’re trying to get traffic to a blog or website that you own.

Why promote something you haven’t personally tried yourself? Now there are ways to tell whether a product is good or worth promoting at ClickBank and has for the most, helped people earn money or whatever it is you’re trying to get them to do. There’s what’s called the gravity score which means the amount of popularity as well as trust that a product has. The higher the gravity score, the more likely that product is going to sell and be a good product for people you’re trying to promote to.

I prefer promoting what I’ve personally used myself and know it works and will help people achieve the goals they want in life or they’ve set for themselves. Wealthy Affiliate is what I’ve used for a good chunk of time now and so that is what I’m primarily going to be using for the classified ad sites.

If you’ve you used other products and you’ve had success with it, then by all means go ahead and promote it as you’ll definitely to earn some money to your use of that product. As I mentioned earlier, you’ll be doing this all for free so you don’t have to worry about any kind of costs with online ad posting. You can make money with free online classified ads, just follow what I talked about above and follow what Tyler Pratt says in his video and you should start to see some results.
