Cars are generally the primary mode of transportation for people especially here in the United States. There are quite a few different types of cars or vehicles out there, made from different car companies. I’m sure many of you are well aware of them.
People can buy cars of today are classics from years ago. There is a very large market for cars of yesteryear especially from the 1950s to the 1970s. You might be a car enthusiast and if so, I will show how you can turn that into a profitable online business. If you want to learn how to sell cars online, then read on.

As I mentioned earlier, cars are generally the primary mode of transportation these days. Owning a car just makes things so much easier to go anywhere that you need to. I love taking road trips in the vehicle that I own and driving on awesome, open highways.
If you know someone though who’s looking to purchase a new vehicle, you might know exactly what needs to be done before they just decide to pick any type of car. There are so many makes and models of vehicles out there all with their own sets of pros and cons and so it is imperative to find a vehicle that will fit one’s driving needs
I personally own a Ford Taurus and I actually purchased it late last year. The other car I had before was Chevy Malibu and it was one of the best vehicles I ever owned. I had it for 11 years and it had a little over 230,000 miles before I traded it in. It was starting to get to the point where mechanical issues were slowly creeping up and so I thought it better to spend money on a new vehicle rather than continue to throw money at the Malibu only to have something else break down on it in the future.
The car niche is pretty broad so you’ll want to narrow down the car niche so that you can have a better and more focused audience that you can target. You might decide to focus on a specific brand like Chevrolet and focus on one of their specific vehicles such as the Corvette, Malibu, or Impala.
You might also decide to focus on which vehicles get the best gas mileage and are great for traveling. A focus can also be on foreign vehicles vs American made one’s. There’s just a lot of possibilities that you can choose from in the car niche. Now, with all that being said, you’ll want to make sure that any content you create for your audience, answers questions that they may have or problems that they need solved. Doing this will gain their trust and ensure that you become an authority in your niche. How do you find out what problems or questions that people may have? Let’s take a closer look at that in the next section.
What Questions Are People Asking
There are many ways to search for questions and problems that people may have in any given niche. One of the best places to find that out is a website called answerthepublic. This is a great site that will show you the most up to date questions that people are asking in any given niche.
Since we are focusing on the car niche, I will give some examples of questions that this site shows people are asking when it comes to cars. Will cars be cheaper in 2021? What cars have Apple car play? Where are cars made? Which cars are the cheapest? Now I said earlier that it would be best to narrow down the car niche so let’s focus on a car brand/maker such as Ford and see what questions come up. Who owns Ford Motor Company? Which Ford Focus model is best? What Ford cars have park assist?
You pretty much get the idea, but this will help you immensely when it comes to doing research for coming up with content for a website should you pursue this route.
Now there are other ways to find out what people are asking or searching for in the car niche. You can use Google and what’s called the alphabet soup technique, or you can go to question sites such as Quora and find out what questions people are asking there. The great thing about Quora is that you can quickly answer questions people are asking at that site and can also be a backdoor way to get people to your website to find out more information.
One thing you need to remember though is that you are here to help people first and foremost. If you can solve their problems and gain their trust, the money will come, but you’ve got to build yourself up as authority in your niche first. Speaking of money, you might be wondering how you can find out the potential of what you can earn in the car niche. I will show you how you can do exactly that in the next section.
How To Tell If Cars Will Be Profitable
As with any niche, you want to make sure that it will be a profitable venture for you and the car niche can certainly be considered a high dollar niche because of how much they generally sell for. Even if you focus on the different kinds of accessories for vehicles, it can still be a very profitable one.
The first thing we can do is go to Google and just type in cars and hit enter. Now you’ll see some general ads that won’t immediately have pictures and prices which is a little different from some of the other niches I’ve talked about in the past. Don’t let this bother you as there are still great places to go to get prices of what vehicles are selling for these days and I’ll show you how you can get a piece of all of that.
There’s an ad for cars.com that immediately comes up at the top of the first page and you can click on that which will take you to the website of cars.com. From there you can look at the different prices that cars are selling for such as sedans, sports cars, and trucks.
Another great place to check for prices of cars is what’s called autotrader.com. You can search for cars in your area to see what prices they are selling at. There are a wide range of vehicles in my area and you can look them up by make and model, even by the type of engine they have such as an 8-cylinder or 4-cylinder. As you’ll see, the newer vehicles can sell for tens of thousands of dollars while some of the older vehicles that can be at least 5 years or older, sell for less.
Once you see what they are selling for, the question then becomes, how do you get a piece of that pie? In order to get money from selling or promoting cars online, you need to join what’s called an affiliate program. A lot of companies who have an online presence, especially when it comes to selling products online, will a lot of times have an affiliate program you can join which will enable you to help promote their products and in return you’ll get a percentage of each sale that is made through a link that they provide you and that you promote.
Now it does not appear that the major car manufacturers have their own affiliate programs, but other companies that do help with the selling of cars do have an affiliate program. There are even car renting companies that offer affiliate programs such as Enterprise Rent A Car and Hertz. You won’t get money from the full sale, but you will get a percentage. Enterprise Rent A Car says that you’ll get at least 2.5%. Other places can give you a higher percentage even sometimes at 50% or more, but you’ll have to find one’s that have higher commission rates and see what their requirements are. Since you now know what affiliate programs are, let’s take a closer look at what needs to be done to start earning money in the car niche.
What Needs To Be Done To Start Earning Money
If you want to build a thriving online business, you’ll basically need online real estate to do that. In this instance, it would be a website. The website would be completely your own and you can add as much content to it as you want. In order to get your own website, the first thing you need to do is purchase a domain name.
For those of you who are worried about spending money, if you truly want to create a very successful business online, you’re going to have to spend some money in order to make that happen. The good news is that it costs FAR less to do so than a traditional brick and mortar business that resides in a building.
A traditional brick and mortar business can cost you tens of thousands of dollars or more, while an online business, if setup correctly, will cost no more than a few hundred dollars and the potential returns are limitless because you have an easier time of potentially accessing millions of people to your website.
A domain name will be the address of your website such as www.bigbusiness.com. It does cost money to register a domain name, but the good news is that it doesn’t cost very much. The average price for a domain is $13.99 a year so that is very doable for most people.
You’ll register a domain name at a hosting site such as godaddy.com, hostgator.com, or bluehost.com. There are many of them out there and you can probably find one that best fits your need.
Once you’ve got a domain name chosen, then you’ll want to get a website built. As I’ve said in other articles similar to this, it’s extremely easy nowadays to create a website. You don’t need to know HTML in order to get a website created. There are now website editors that make it extremely easy and the best one of those is called Word Press. A lot of the domain hosting sites will include a website editor, but you’ll want to try and find one that has a Word Press one.
To get a website started in a website editor, you’ll generally choose a template and there are quite a few of them so definitely find one that fits your style. Once one is chosen, all you have to do is accept and your site will be up and running, though without any content. You’ll have to add the content, pages, and posts to your site in order to get traffic to your website.

Learn How To Build A Profitable Business Online
One of the best places online to learn how to build a thriving and profitable online business is a place called Wealthy Affiliate. This site has a wealth of information on how to get started on such an endeavor as you build an online business in Affiliate Marketing.
They teach you exactly how to get a website up and running, how to add content to your website and more importantly, how to create content that will attract people to your website via search engines such as Google. They’ll also teach you other ways of attracting traffic, but getting free traffic through the search engines is their primary focus in their training.
What’s nice about that is they will show you how you can get ranked on the first page of the search engines so that you can get the maximum amount of traffic to your site which will hopefully lead to sales. They’ve got many tools to help you out, but one of the most exciting things is that they now offer domain hosting so you don’t have to go to a third party site to register a domain, it can all be done in one place.
